Non mi svegliate ve ne prego
ma lasciate che io dorma questo sonno,
c'è ancora tempo per il giorno
quando gli occhi si imbevono di pianto,
i miei occhi... di pianto.

I remember turning down this concert, because I didn't like VdGG (silly me Mad ) back then.

It's probably good I didn't go, because from this snipet, it would've confirmed I didn't like them (as I would until the mid-90's Embarrassed )

Of course nowadays, I can only grieve about missing them. Frown

Hi,

Been a huge fan since the H to He album a long time ago, when I found it on some used LP bin in Santa Barbara ... I really thought, at the time, that this was neat and different, and I took to it quickly.

Even at the station, for example, one dunker finally played something from Godbluff (don't count the years, because it makes look even stupider!!!), and made it look like it was so new that no one could possibly understand anything ... but already PH and his band, were way out there ahead of many folks.

It is, specially vocally, very different, and in my book this is not about rock music, but an expression, and I look at folks like Jim M. and then Meatloaf, that were serious about their words, and it wasn't just a silly story treating you and I like we were children that did not know anything about rock music!

I think, seeing this, that it takes a lot of courage to do this on a stage, and you have to have some outstanding musicians, and a really good idea of what those folks thought of the work, or they would not have done it as well. Or, at the very least a really good director to help the presentation, but I'm not sure that PH needs help in that area ... ever!

We all hope, in our lifetimes, to find another band that is that strong about their work!

Side Note: I've always wanted to see 2 folks in concert ... Vangelis and Peter Hammill ... and at 74, even with PH also getting older, it won't help ... but I can say I had the privilege of seeing TD, PF in their early days, as well as East Meets West (Menuhin and Shankar) and a lot more ... than most folks that will generally go for the bands that are listed as number 1 that might not have the goods, like some of these very special folks!

Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!

Saw them in 1975 (Godbluff Tour) and 1976 ( Still life/World record Tour) , great memories

Like in this video, Gog was coupled with the Slepwalkers or was it the opposite ? I don’t know anymore !

Thanks for the footage dude !
