Trump rushed offstage in Pennsylvania after shots fired. Fake news? As of yet, no shooter has been found.

Well obviously something happened, whether it was staged I can't say.  By the way, we (collabs) did decide to have moratorium on political threads  because of all of the complaints and rules of decorum kept being broken but maybe for now as long as this focuses on what is being instead instead of speculation and opinion stuff (just the news) it might be okay. Topics involving Trump lead to personal attacks very easily.

I heard the threat had been neutralized.

BBC interviews witness. He saw man (with a rifle) on roof.  Man says that he and several other people were yelling and pointing out the shooter to the police and the Secret Service.  Man said they yelled at the police and Secret Service for two to three minutes.  

""He was up there for a couple of minutes, absolutely at least three, four minutes. We were pointing at him for the Secret Service, who were looking at us from the top of the barn. They were looking at us the whole time."

Only after the gunman fired did police neutralize the threat: "They blew his head off."

The shooter's dead, and several others.   The bystander deaths are tragic.   I sure wish the Secret Service was as on the ball in Dallas '63.

I think it's best not to comment on motives until this shooter is identified and his motives known. Then the thread can be closed shortly after the first few posts.

I tried to explain it here earlier and in the other thread you created.  Not sure why you thought it important to make a new topic on it, except perhaps to call me out and amplify complaint. Don't know, don't really care.

As I wrote there:

I explained in the other thread.  You could have just asked me there or PMed me.  It's big news so I allowed it temporarily provided that we stick with the news and not bring our personal politics into it, insult or speculate.  We're grown ups and should be able to manage with such things temporarily.  Anyway, I'll close it now.
