Hi.

This is me. Gnik Nosmirc. How are you?

I am, obviously, as prog fan. Rush, Dream Theater, Yes, King Crimson, Genesis, Gentle Giant, Supertramp, Porcupine Tree, Soft Machine, Caravan, Camel, etc.

I also love jazz-fusion. Brand X, Weather Report, Return to Forever, The Mahavishnu Orchestra, Pierre Moerlen's Gong, etc.

Anything progressive or jazzy, I dig.

I came here to discuss, mostly.

Oh, and one dirty secret about me: my guilty pleasure is punk rock. Yes, I enjoy Iggy and the Stooges from time to time.

I hope you will like me. I already like this place.

See you! Wink

Big fan of 'Nadir's Big Chance' then?

As far as progressive punk (if there is such a thing) is concerned, I am a fan of Exposure by Robert Fripp.

Pawn Hearts is my all time favorite psychedelic album though.

What about The League of Gentlemen then? In my view an awesome and extremely underrated album.

Welcome by the way!

Just in case you aren't aware of them, the "pronk" flagship band are the spectacular Cardiacs.

Not sure if I'd call Pawn Hearts psych, but nonetheless, Exposure and Pawn Hearts are great records

Well, I don't really know what constitutes psychedelic rock. Lots of groups from the mid to late 60's, such as The Yardbirds, are labeled as such though they sound closer to garage rock. As far as Pawn Hearts is concerned, maybe progressive rock is the correct term to describe this masterpiece, but Lemmings for instance clearly feels like an LSD trip, contrary to other prog albums like Close to the Edge or Selling England by the Pound, which sound convoluted but not necessarily trippy.

But it's subjective I guess.
