Cannery Row by John Steinbeck (my second attempt at it-not a difficult book but I have a habit of starting books and not finishing them)

Just finished I Am Pilgrim by Terry Hayes. Good, but not as good as I thought it was going to be!

Agree amazing book. The stark, poetic prose and haunting depiction of a post-apocalyptic world are incredibly compelling. McCarthy's ability to convey deep emotion and raw survival instincts makes this book a powerful and unforgettable read.

Agree, though I'm not sure I'd call MacCarthy's prose "Poetic", it's the opposite of that really, but perhaps in a way, it's poetic in the fact that it's not poetic? Reading Sanderson's Mistborn trilogy |
