Currently there is a thread "VINYL" for posting about records and such. But it would be much nicer if there was a topic 'VINYL RECORDS" under which various subject threads could be created. I'm just sayin'

Seems a bit of a niche subject for a whole section. Not all of us buy vinyl.

What is called a topic here is what I would call a forum or subforum (I can make those, I believe).
Although I quite like the sound of a Vinyl Fetishists forum, I do think that it would be rather too niche and potentially unsavoury. And then that might lead to topics on whips and bondage. Making topics in existent forums should be fine instead. |

Thinking about subforums. How about General Music Polls subforum separate from General Music Discussionn subforum?
In the non-music, there are General Discussion and General Polls subforums. |

Funny, I just noticed the Forum 'Tech Talk' lists Vinyl as one of the subjects. That one got by me. I guess I'll have to explore it a bit.

I don't think there are enough vinyl threads that it should clutter up where it shouldn't. In fact, I don't get the feeling that there are many at all aside from the big one just called "Vinyl".
Either way, if it would ever get so far, I demand a CD subtopic as well!

Absolutely! A "VINYL RECORDS" category sounds like a fantastic idea. It would make navigating and discussing records even more enjoyable. Thanks for suggesting it, and we appreciate your support for independent music!

Who IS involved in the site? Is this site basically an airplane in flight after the pilot parachuted out? Seems like the crash is inevitable without the full attention and modernization of the site.

IMHO "Featured Artist of the month" doesn't need a separate subforum anymore. It looks like a leftover of a feature that didn't catch on. I'd personally get rid of it and move all 9 topics to Prog Blogs.

basically, this is not far from the truth The Captain's left the ship, and the lieutennts are trying to keep it afloat. TBH, I don't think the forum needs a specific vinyl or CD or mp3 subsections

let's just stay above the moral melee
prefer the sink to the gutter keep our sand-castle virtues content to be a doer as well as a thinker, prefer lifting our pen rather than un-sheath our sword |
