Nights in White Satin.

About FZ's 'Orange County', I thought at first it was the Roxy & Elsewhere's one ("Son of Orange County").. I stick to that one for my 2nd.

The Moodies...but Any Color You Like, really.
I stand with Roger Waters, I stand with Joan Baez, I stand with Victor Jara, I stand with Woody Guthrie. Music is revolution

Hi,

In terms of the time and place, the Moodies song was much bigger, and sold a lot of singles.

Someo of the stuff listed is way too far and apart from the Moodies, for my being able to make sense of the color thing ... but there was a lot of color (some plastic!) in the mid to late 60's that probably could be mentioned here.
Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!

Oh, what a series of choices!!!

I've gone Moodies... of its type, it's just about perfect.
Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

My vote would have gone to 'Green is the Colour' had it been in the poll, so went for 'Black Dog' as the LZ song is one of my favourite album openers ever.

['Black Dog' by Babe Ruth is also excellent.]
