What I wouldn't give for instrumental versions of Novalis' 70s albums! Great Floyd-like music, absolutely ruined by the vocals - for me, anyway. So they're my choice!

My fav band of those? Tjah, I've found so far one album I like by each of the bands Guru Guru, Hölderlin and Kraan, but I like best Hölderlin's Traum.

There is a compilation of their instrumentals. I recommend that. I also think the cover is great

Hardly ever listen to any of these bands and for most it has been a very long time I've heard something. Had some on cassette, taped from the vinyls of the local library - I remember I enjoyed Hoelderlin the most.

Novalis-especially the album where they transcribe part of a movement from Anton Bruckner's 5th Symphony! The first , and only time, I have seen Bruckner's music done in such a way.....

Nice to see that this thread has been revived. Also nice to see how even it is generally. Those who haven't heard SFF (who currently have the least votes): Give them a listen!

I guess Anyone's Daughter followed by Novalis and Hoelderlin. On Mondays I look like a complete 1982 Fleer baseball card set.

Hmm, I don't know any of them. I'll go instead with Eloy, A.R. and Machines, and Scorpions. LOL
