yep, the eclectic art rock component is noticable, still not sure yet where to forward this

The first team member to comment in Eclectic thought they could be a move to Crossover, saying that they reminded him of Thank You Scientist and A Formal Horse.

The second team member said he thought it should be moved to Post/Math Pop, a comment with which the first team member then agreed.

Sketchshow were therefore moved to Post/Math for evaluation on 16th July 2021, where they were rejected the following day by a single 'no' vote (Post/Math was just a two-man team in those days) with the comment that he could see why they were rejected in Eclectic, going on to say that it was fantastic pop, but had no place in PA.

However, they weren't rejected in Eclectic at all - it was simply a move from there to Post/Math.

To my ears this band plays a fusion of math rock and power pop, and on Rateyourmusic they are classed as math rock.

I found two reviews of their 'Waves' album which also class them as math rock:

Both these reviews were positive ones, suggesting that the band potentially had a great future ahead of them. Unfortunately a couple of band members quit at the end of October 2021, and the band appears to be on indefinite hiatus at the moment, so apart from the release in December of that year of 'Crests', consisting of a couple of tracks that didn't make it onto the 'Waves' album, it appears that there isn't going to be any new material to allow a re-evaluation in Post/Math...but that's where this band belongs imho.

Sadly, it does look like we have hit the buffers for the time being, since the band is not currently active. We could evaluate them in Crossover, I suppose, but that depends on the thoughts of the other two team members.

I'll drop a link to this post in the Crossover team thread and let the others have a listen to the music, but I can't promise anything.
