My Top 10 Favourites Kate Bush Heather Findlay (Mostly Autumn) Barbara Gaskin (Spirogyra)Annie Haslam (Renaissance) Joanne Hogg (Iona) Rachel Jones (Karnataka) Sonja Kristina (Curved Air) Candace Night (Blackmore's Night) Jane Relf (Renaissance, Illusion) Olivia Sparnenn (Mostly Autumn) If I had to choose just one outstanding singer from the list at the top of the page, then it would be Annie Haslam.

...Not to mention my more general topic about female prog artists in the Recommendations/Featured forum. Anyway, my top three would probably be: 1) Sonja Kristina 2) Annie Haslam 3) Catherine Ribeiro

some of the worst 70's female singer (espcially Haan, which is always approximative and had little control over her voice. In the classic era, I'd go for Jane Relf and the Prog Folk singresses like Barb Gaskin, Celia Humphris, Jacqui McShee and Judy Dyble.

let's just stay above the moral melee
prefer the sink to the gutter keep our sand-castle virtues content to be a doer as well as a thinker, prefer lifting our pen rather than un-sheath our sword |

Haslam tops with Relf and Gaskin. The folk thing with Pryor, Denny etc. Love christina Booth of Magenta.

Stella over Sonja. Unfortunately Inga Rumpf of Frumpy was not on the list; I love her powerful vocals. Her voice really has a punch.

Tough choices - in the other category, Dagmar Krause is a favourite of mine (Slapp Happy/Henry Cow/Art Bears/News from Babel etc.)

Annie Haslam, Annie Haslam, and Annie Haslam.
I had a big crush on her, but she never noticed me in the middle of the audience. Life is so cruel.
