Cool interview with SW on his 5.1 mix of Marillion's Misplaced Childhood.

Nice interview, but I can't see why I would buy this.

I too am happy with my original Capitol issue, as he stated the stereo mix from back then is really good, and I agree. The analog version is incredibly spacious, epic/grand and it is a very simple mix with the original mastering done at Sterling Sound so there you go.

Versus the CD copy I have that is not as any of the qualities I stated for the vinyl version....But I have been looking for a new clean copy and they are hard to find. When you do they want a lot of money for a used copy, so I bought this one.

The 4-LP version is the same price in some cases as VG++ used copies..so why not.
I don't do 5.1 so cannot comment, although mixing Brave to 5.1 I bet will be a magical experience.

I only want the Blu-Ray but I guess I will have to buy the whole package.

Nice interview. This and Clutching at Straws are my favorite Marillion releases. But like others have said, I'm going out of my way to pick up the 5.1 mix of this...

I have the vinyl and original CD release of MC. Don't need another version. It's not a bad album but not as good as its two predecessors IMO.
Ultimately bored by endless ecstasy!

Even though I have never seen Marillion live, what I see on YT and the blurays I have they are an excellent live band. So having live material in the box set will be cool.....

These are better than seeing the 500th new release of any Beatles album, which have been coming out almost yearly. I know people on other music sites that claim to own 5-6-7-8 versions of each release....mental.
LOL

LOL

That's crazy. The only Beatles album that I have two of is Let It Be and Let It Be...Naked.

I’m not a huge Marillion fan, but will freely admit that Misplaced Childhood and Clutching At Straws deserve the deluxe treatment since these are, IMHO, their finest moments. I’ll always be firmly in the Fish camp. I’ll probably end up buying this expanded edition of Misplaced Childhood.
