Hey guys, I was just wondering if there was a release calendar on the site. Kind of like a one-stop page where we can see what's coming out and when. I was wondering the same thing about tour dates, too.

Awesome idea. Would take a lot of work, though.
Oh, and expect this thread to be moved, as it isn't news itself. Edited by Dorsalia - February 16 2016 at 08:25 |

I have found this blog very useful for keeping track of upcoming prog releases.

Thanks for the link.
I apologize for that. I guess it really isn't news. As far as the calendar, what if someone does something like this? A thread can be started in one of the lounge forums. It can be pinned and the opening post can break down the listings by month and date. If someone comes across a release date for a CD, they post it in the thread. Then whoever is assigned to manage the thread updates the opening post and places the listing under the correct date, with a link to the release date so we know it's officially confirmed. Example: Jan 1 - Dream Theater - Metropolis Part 3: As Fast As We Can Play It (link) Jan 8 - etc... Jan 15 Edited by Prog Snob - February 17 2016 at 21:34 |

I'm giving this a bump. I'd really like to maybe give this idea a chance.

I think the new prog realeases blogspot might be good enough already. Even I am on that site(!): http://newprogreleases.blogspot.nl/2016/01/pascal-van-den-dool-city-between-two.html?m=1
It's a pretty big list. |

I think so as well, no point re-inventing the wheel but we could sticky this thread as the information there is good.
Also - there is a sub-forum specifically for news/new releases and one for tour dates so these can be used for announcements. Not as good as the above but again would be a massive job to pull everything together for tours |

Hello guys, in addition to the release calendar (which is an awesome idea), I was wondering if there could be a service where you could make a list of bands and get notified directly (e-mail?) on a new album release.
