Pardon the abbreviation in the title

Long story short: I love The Wall and want more of it. No the Final Cut does NOT suffice, so I want to know if there are any other bands who have released similar stuff or are similar to the Floyd of that era.

Mind you: If there's an incredibly good Prog album I'm missing, give us a shout. I'm open-minded.

Check out Porcupine Tree - The Sky Moves Sideways. Not exactly like The Wall, but very Floyd-ish.

I don't think that there is anything else like The Wall.

Id get Amused to Death by Roger Waters. It's a great album - still not quite the wall but I mean it is roger waters.

The thing it shares in common is the emotion in the lyrics and the great original music

Roger Waters' solo career blows. I love the Wall at a possibly unhealthy level, however Roger Waters lost his voice and he tried too damn hard. Look at songs like Vera: 1 minute long and perfect at that length. Then compare it to "Perfect Sense". That song's about 5 minutes long when it would be better as 3. He kept going for that epic, but I dont think he ever got there.

If you love "The Wall", you will probably like the German band SOLAR
PROJECT. Most of their albums are rock operas, delivered to neo-
progressive rock backing - not my favourite style, but I think you could
enjoy them.

Get "The Fall of the House of Usher" by Peter Hammill.
