PS:  It doesn't suck THAT bad   I request feedback!    I haven't played with a band in forever, and Johan's like "Dude, play organ with us on this song!" so I did.   I guess this is closer to RIO than symphonic prog, obviously.

It's not bad at all! It sounds like a mix of A Saucerful Of Secrets and In Praise Of Learning. Is it an improvisation?
Anyway, good job!

Yes, total improvisation, one take, recorded in the same room.

I like it. With a proper mix, it would sound great. You're not a band keyboardist either. Back in the day when I was in a band our keyboardist was just terrible. All he did was simple chord progressions to give a Psychedelic atmosphere to our sound. Just once I wished he would have let his inhibitions go and just really try something fun and spontaneous.

Thanks for the complements.  I likely won't be joining them full-time because of other obligations (trucking and stuff), but it was freaking awesome to play with a band again, even if it was on keyboards instead of guitar.

No offence but...

It sounded like a bunch of intruments in back of a speeding van over a symphony of bicycle horns
( with a really obnoxious cowbell )

The only intruments I thought were keeping it togethor was bass and drums.

And what is with that "air sucking" sound that I constantly hear throughout the recording?

Not an avant/RIO fan?

I liked the playing, but I think the keyboard sound choices (and the sound quality of the recording)could have been better. The rhythm (Bass and drums) was very consistent and interesting. It reminds me of the improvisational "Devil's Danceschool" from TFK, or a Transatlantic-style jam.

Oh god, yes, my keyboard playing was AWFUL.  I've never jammed with these guys before, and Johan just asked me to bring my keyboard and play.  It's a crappy 80's home keyboard.
