this is the only poll in which the Doors would win against Pink Floyd. I don't find Piper that great, I rarely listen to it, it's a PF album for which I need a special mood, this one and also Ummagumma the studio album.

Lot's to like about the Doors debut, but Piper is a masterpiece for me

I barely know the Doors, but I doubt I'll find in their debut (or their whole discography) anything as great as Astronomy Domine.

You´re right! But, I will recommend you to listen their Waitin`for the Sun-album (my favourite of theirs).

The Doors easily. Maybe the best debut ever.

I'm not a Doors fan but their debut is a masterpiece. Astronomy Domaine and Interstellar Overdrive are awesome but can't top The Doors

The Doors - made a big impression on me when I discovered it. Piper had its moments, but with just a few exceptions I never really got Syd's whimsy and childlike charm (although the non-album single - See Emily Play - is a classic)
