Topic: A Whiter Shade Of Pale vs. Nights In White Satin Posted: August 24 2014 at 08:40 |
I'm sure this poll will have been done before but I can't find it... Two classic psychedelic prog songs from 1967 that became huge pretty unexpectedly. Just wondering which is your favourite.
Procol Harum for me just because of how fresh it was in terms of lyrics, instruments, plus it has a killer climax on the chorus. The Moodies song is right up there too, so quite a difficult poll.
Thanks for any feedback

A lot of the time The Moodies would win most things for me, but I prefer A Whiter Shade of Pale.
Both timeless songs BTW

Tough call. I lean - ever so slightly - to A Whiter Shade of Pale

The Moodes by a mile. I love Procol Harum as much as the next guy (see my 5 star review of Shine on Brightly), but I've never liked that song.

2 classics. But despite my love of the Moodies, Procol Harum effort just shades it.

Two great songs, but A Whiter Shade of Pale is a timeless classic.

A Whiter Shade of Pale. I have to inject myself a bit more insuline to digest the other one.
