Ok... ripped on to my computer, it shows as 12 tracks...

  1. Cygnus...Vismund Cygnus: Sarcophagi (13:02)
  2. Cygnus...Vismund Cygnus: Umbilical Syllables (5:50)
  3. Cygnus...Vismund Cygnus: Facilis Descenus Averni (12:21)
  4. Cygnus...Vismund Cygnus: Con Safo (13:09)
  5. The Widow (4:45)
  6. L' Via l'Viaquez (6:40)
  7. Miranda That Ghost Just Isn't Holy Anymore: Vade Mecum (2:55)
  8. Miranda That Ghost Just Isn't Holy Anymore: Pour Another Icepick (7:41)
  9. Miranda That Ghost Just Isn't Holy Anymore: Pisacis (Phra-Men-Ma) (4:59)
  10. Miranda That Ghost Just Isn't Holy Anymore: Con Safo (3:48)
  11. Cassandra Geminni: Tarantism (0:46)
  12. Cassandra Geminni: Plant a Nail in the Navel Stream (0:53)

But Cassandra Gemini is supposed to be a 32 minute song, and...

Well, the whole thing is just really confusing, can someone explain it to me?

Windows Media Player shows it differently/incorrectly to the CD.  the actual track listing is this:

1. cygnus..vismund cygnus
2. the widow
3. l'va l'viaquez
4. miranda, that ghost just isn't holy anymore
5 to 12. Cassandra Geminni

The Mars Volta had envisaged the album to be just 5 tracks (or essentially one long track), but the record label would only pay them for an EP; hence, why there are 12 tracks with cassandra split over the last 8.

I hope this clears it up.

"...misty halos made visible by the spectral illumination of moonshine."
