   Hello everyone, I'm Alberto Palacios, guitar player and singer from Mexico, progressive metal genre,here's my info (some cool links at the end of the paragraph), greetings!!

  Alberto Palacios (Born
on November 16th, 1986) is a guitar player, singer, and overall musician from
Mexicali, Mexico. Since an early age, he quickly adapted and felt fascinated to
rock music listening and playing, starting with an acoustic guitar at the time
of 6. But it was when he was 12 years old that he was given his first electric
guitar and starting playing in a more formal way, spending hours a day trying
to play Guns and Roses, Iron Maiden and Metallica songs, among other bands. As
he grew up and his influences started to be more defined, at the time of 16
years old, he decided he wanted to become a professional guitar player based on
the music of some Shred guitar players such as Steve Vai, Van Halen, Yngwie
Malmsteen, and Michael Angelo Batio. He wrote and recorded his first raw demo
at 17 based on those musical influences, but as he became older, he would find
the sound that would define his music: Progressive Metal, using Dream Theater
as their music mentors to achieve such goal, but not forgetting about the past
musicians mentioned. In addition to this, he enjoys the theatrical element of
Queen songs, as the vocal melodies of Michael Jackson (His favorite singer). 

  Always being a
hobbyist singer, he decided to become more formal at his practice, which
resulted in more band oriented compositions, (contrasting with his soloist
background). Since he was 18 years old to date (26 as I’m writing this), he has
composed tons of music, which hopefully will make it to later albums
eventually.

  His first
professional release, Indie album, “We are the Opera”, is a conceptual
album with Progressive Metal/Rock influences (Although some may say it has some
Opera Rock or Symphonic elements). "We are The Opera" tells the story
of 2 different characters, "The Composer" and "The
Maestro", which share more than the place they are confined to...”

  The future plans of
goals for Alberto Palacios are: Getting his album and music listened everywhere,
form a live band (feel free to ask) and starting playing gigs in a constant
way, get professional management, and of course, a record deal, more albums to
come. In resume, to live totally by his music.

  Right now, rehearsing
with a live band to start performing live (Probably as a POWER TRIO, but that
can change eventually). He’ll also start to look for festivals and gigs to play
in, even though he’s working as an indie musician at the time. He’s looking for
professional management and a label as well.
