More obscure but great albums. So even if you just know one feel free to vote if you recommend it.
The top three recommended albums from the first one were Wallenstein's Cosmic Cetury, Dave Willey's Immeasurable Currents and Simon Steensland's Led Circus.

Well I only have one of these, Zevious, but it is excellent, and I had the pleasure of seeing them tear it up at Cuneifest, so I give you, After The Air Raid.

Man i'm so jealous of all the bands you've seen live. These guys are a power trio i'd guess you'd say that play a heavy brand of avant music. They kick some butt on this one.

I picked Pseu and apparently i'm the only one on the planet who feels this is a 5 star album. Theatrical and tortured vocals at times but he also uses vocal melodies. A Zeuhl classic in my world.

Pulsar's Pollen is one of those one-of-a-kind albums that no other sounds like. One of the world's odysseys. Super spacey, rocking, symphonic and (takes some time to adjust to his voice) amazing vocals; captures the mood so well.
I'd recommend it to anyone (who knows prog!)

I only have two this time around as well. While I enjoy the Zevious album it didn't live up to my imagine of it from reading the descriptions all around. Rovo on the other hand is marvellous. That's where my vote goes.
I've been meaning to get that Pseu album, but haven't.

I only know the Thirsty Moon album, but it's so good I have no problem voting for it. I heard their debut album long long ago, and it was ok but nothing special. But just 2 years ago I heard "You'll Never Come Back", and I thought it was so much better I was surprised. I still listen to it often. "Trash Man" is the coolest song.

One thing that bugged me about TM's debut was that the sax player is out of tune a lot of the time. Otherwise, it's certainly a groovy record, but not as varied and interesting as You'll Never Come Back.

I know what you mean, it is most evident in his first few notes of the album, a little out of tune indeed but it never really bothered me, I think the material is fantastic.

I only have the Rovo, I think it's pretty awesome as well.
Live from Japan ! No actually live from New York but the band is Japanese. A two disc affair that features The Boredoms guitarist, Altered States drummer and Bodage Fruit's violinist and drummer. Not surprisingly we get lots of improvs and lights out playing from these guys.

Well said...
This French band was playing a different style of music under a different name in the late sixties when they saw Pink Floyd in concert and it changed their world. They started playing Floyd covers and then in the spring of 1971 they decided to create their own music. It was Caravan's David Sinclair (who had a girlfriend in the town of Lyon where they were from) who suggested the band contact the label that Caravan was on and they became the first French band to be distributed by an English label. Sinclair used to play with them during rehearsals quite often.

The only one I've heard is Xaal, I quite liked it.
Maybe my second choice and it's doing very well here. Xaal were a French band who released two albums in the nineties and this is the second one. Dark, powerful and spacey at times. We get some guest trumpet and sax on this one. Actually the sax player has sung on both Magma and Offering studio albums. Anyway this is a fantastic record that brings to mind Zeuhl, Jazz and Avant.
Even though it sounds like it was recorded from behind a cardboard wall, I just love that Pulsar debut, and that is also where my vote went. Could have gone with both Pseu and Potemkine though, but I am more in a psych mood lately
