Hi friends!

my name is martin and i am a member of SKRATFŠTRKU - psycho/art-rock/improvisative band. We would like to
invite you to visit our website www.skratfstrku.sk where you can find samples of our music, or just to get amused,
because it is really not made in usual way :-). we have released few albums on our own, because our material
is a bit freaky for most of music companies :-). sorry for my english, maybe you would help me to practise it with
your comments to our music or website:-). i decided to write in here because i have never (with exception of one my
american friend from hawaii) introduced my band to anybody outside slovakia and also because i like music discussed on this forum.
Hope it will be something fresh for you, although you probably would not understand anything, because it is all in slovak:-).
But maybe you would like sound of my lanquage... well, that si enough. Have a nice day!
and thanx for your posts! martin (yesfan)

I found the website quite scary  but I managed to get hold of the music, I'll give it a listen within the next couple of days.

Hi Walrus,

thanx for visiting our site! No I did not think about english variation of our site before, because we thought all about our band is about slovak language, its nontraditional use, jokes etc. :-) and I cant imagine how to describe this to foreigners... I mean it is hard for me to get punch line for examlpe from zappa s lyrics, because they are related to actual life of people in that part of the world.... and we are NOT a band trying and dreaming to make carrier abroad :-), we love music and have a lot of fun with it :-) but considering that our music alone maybe could say something also to people from abroad, I am now thinking about something like you have noticed...

here is something that helps a little to know up what is what on our site:

kontrakt - contact
gundža - the band
očoide - what is this about
členy - members
HIStory - history
kotuči - albums
sťahovačka - download
zmrzliny - Photos
zvook - sound/mp3
výpek - concerts

we release our albums/demos ourselves - not a company ever answered to us :-) and this year we have released our new CD - SUPERSKRAT 2005. It contains 11 new songs musically between avantgarde/psychedelic/improvisative/parody kind. It is a cutted jam session of our band overdubbed by new guitars, synths, vocals... . It is something between live and studio together. You can download one full song from this adress: http://forum.gpc.sk/viewtopic.php?fid=48&tid=952 it is called Priečny Peter. If you will, let me know whether you like it:-)
