Well not really new... Often enough I lurk around for info about which track number is which and what year so-and-so album was released (something for which this site is awesome!!) but this is the first time I've decided to go and talk.

Er. ... stationed in Canada and attending university (in a masochistic program! ). I'll listen to whatever I can get my hands on, which so far has been krautrock, some electronica, instrumentalist-stuff, classic prog, and some jazz-rock.  And ... yeah that's about it.  Classic prog and keyboard-rock. All 70's stuff. I really haven't listened to much outside of that yet. *hiding!* Seriously though, any recommendations for someone who's a die-hard Mike Oldfield-er would be awesome - he only put out so much stuff!

Hope to see you on the threads!

-Emma (aka the little neutrino! )

(p.s.: damn these emoticons are cute!)

Hello! Quite a particular nick there, hahahaha, get it, get it? A neutrino is a particle, and 'particle' is spelled similarly to 'particular', hahhahaha...haha...ha...ha...I'm so sorry...

Ohhh, you clearly rock.

(Actually the name was more a blend of my love for synth-driven art rock (Klaatu's track off their first album, go my obscure prog reference!) and my pain-loving university degree - Physics. I have to poke fun at myself somewhere for that one!)

Hi Emma!! Keep posting and feel free to start a few threads on Mike Oldfield and others like him. Not enough is said about his type of music around here. Maybe you can enlighten us on some good stuff

Best of 2006 that I've heard:
PFM-Stati Di Immaginazione
Zenit-Surrender (Best "unknown" album)
Oaksenham - Conquest of Pacific
2007:
Phideaux - Doomsday Afternoon
La Torre Del Alchimista - Neo

*gasp!* 'Good stuff' of Mike Oldfield = everything of Mike Oldfield.

Well. I'm sure there's something that will make you cringe that yes he did write but most of it's amazing.  Glad to be around!
