This is a common subject in every internet community. I searched and didn't find a topic about this... So which one do proggers prefer? I've been using Chrome for about a year and I can't see myself changing it soon...

I was a slave to internet Explorer for years before I saw the light and embraced Google Chrome. I've never looked back.

I do explorer and firefox for different kinds of browsing. Chrome I tried briefly. I think sometimes they tweak these things a little too much.

I use Safari on my iPod Touch (what I browse most with), and Comodo Dragon or Firefox on my laptop depending on what I'm doing.

I use Firefox because I'm too used to the feel to want to change browsers now or I might use Chrome.

This entire post is 100% correct. Also, if you like Chrome, just use SRware Iron. It's a chromium-based browser which soaks up less memory and doesn't send all your browsing information to Google. Using Opera right now and will probably never change. |

I use Firefox which I like in the main but notice that the latest version (7.0.1) seems to be a bit of a memory hog?

Firefox always used a ton of memory for me, although that may have been because I was running a ton of extensions at any given time. |

I use Internet Explorer, but I am no longer a fan of this browser. Actually. all post-6.0 versions are over the top.

For me every version of Firefox I've used becomes a memory hog after using it for so long, I'm using the nightly build currently. |

Chrome + extensions = YES!
IE is still kind of retarded with the tabs as new windows...or whatever's going on there. Firefox is just slightly too slow. It needs to get it together. Safari is pretty pathetic, but that's because Apple's OS and interfaces are idiotic and not very customization or easy to use. Opera? Surely you jest.

Chrome. I used IE until around 3 years ago when I switched to FF. It was great, but eventually got slower and slower. Chrome has only given me minimal problems thus far.
