Just wanted to check the front page to see what kind of a lead my good friend Mellotron Storm had on the other reviewers when I realized that - hey, it's not there anymore. Intentional?

It looks like we had to get rid of it to make room for an Iron Maiden ad...

There's still lots of room, seeing as the page is way tall with all the reviews. I bet it was more of a performance thing.

Well there's a certain amount of space past which you don't want to put anything else because it gets cluttered, but that would make sense. And if we're going to be cutting things for performance, could we get rid of the big box for the last 3 threads in blog section? People almost never post there, having it on the front page is remarkably pointless.

We had a major crash yesterday. I will see what M@x has to say maybe it was causing issues or hasn't restored after the site was back online.

Well John had something like 60 or 70 reviews over my count (he was roughly at 3050, last time I checked).....

But I've been reviewing like mad in the JMA (I must be close to 1000 there... and not just copy/pasting from PA....)

which is why I seem stuck to the level of two months ago...

I removed it yesterday because the query is now very heavy on the server resources. I need to figure out a new way to add it back. Will work on this today.

I too miss this feature very much. I don't care that much for the rankings of reviewers themselves, but I use this feature every time I visit PA to check if any of my favourite reviewers have posted any new reviews. I also find it to be the best and easiest way to access the respective profile pages of individual reviewers that I check from time to time.

So, please put it back when technically feasible.
Keep up the good work! Clap

It seems like the prolific reviewers rankings list is the only way to get some fame & (female) groupies out of this hard slog...... Wink

The list of reviewers is not really time sensitive. I would have through a once a day caching of the data would be fine.Big smile

(Same for new releases?)

24h caching, fine it'll help !

New release is not consuming much. Functions that COUNT from the 400,000 ratings/reviews is more 'heavy' ;-)
