My band, Mjollnir Falls, has finally posted some samples on Myspace, at

www.myspace.com/mjollnirfalls

I think that fans of King Crimson and perhaps even Univers Zero might like them.  We're a fairly new band, and we used a simple digital 8-track to record the snippets, so that a high degree of professionalism is probably not to be expected, but I'd really like to hear some honest feedback.  Thanks be to all who listen!

Great ideas there, sounds like a mixture of crimson and western culture-henry cow, well done all you need is to rehearse for some time to get tighter. Good work fellas.

Thanks for the comments, guys!  Actually, I haven't heard a lot of Henry Cow.  I've listened to samples from Amazon, and loved them, but haven't gotten around to ordering any of their CD's.  I do, though, really love UZ, Thinking Plague, and the 5uu's.

There is interesting stuff to be found on Myspace, but one just has to devote a lot of time to searching for it.  I think that the search engine could be improved.

Excellent stuff...although as a nitpicky bassplayer get more bass on the recording!

Want some more?

Specimen 37

Mjolnir Falls, I dig the Crimson-esque compositional approach, although I would have liked to hear that one grating timbre in Ionic change a bit at some point (or go away). A good start, though! Keep it up, and have fun!
