I was going to put this in the poll section but go at it.

Mine would be Steve Howe going at it with Dave Gilmour. That would be interesting.

The two Steves facing off: Steve Hackett and Steve Howe. That would be very epic.

Would you like some Bailey's?

Add Vai and you can make it 3 Steves, would be a bit weird but who knows, talent would not be in shortage!

I would love to see this happen!   haha they are both pretty awesome though, in respects to their individual talent, of course

I think that Dave would stop and wonder what Steve is playing ... Dave is way to blues oriented and he has lost the ability to flow and jam as he used to. He's a star now!

Not sure this is a good mix ... but it could be interesting and I would imagine that they talked to each other or met somewhere along their travels. Frank would probably appreciate the explorations he did on his own, while I would imagine that Robert would appreciate the musicianship behind most of Frank's work. As for playing together I am not sure this could have happened, unless it was some wide open improvised arena where they could just blow it out. But I doubt that it would be a guitar lead against a guitar lead, and I bet that Robert would likely lay down a nice background for Frank to play on.

I would imagine that one of John's favorites is Frank. But as for him playing with Frank? ... nahhh ... there is too much ego in DT's stuff and you can't do that on Frank's albums ... it's more music than it is ego. John would look kinda silly and childish in the middle of it all.

Better choice would be John going against a John McLaughlin so Mc could show him what to do with notes other than just make a band sound repetitioius!

Nice one ... and compatible ... with the exception that I think Ed is getting way too repetitive these days and has lost his touch and feel. Steve is still exploring and doing different things ... and that is to his credit as a musician. Ed may have the effects and the midi board ... but Steve has the chops and the music!
