Sorry if this has already been done before, but I just did a search for this topic and nothing came up, so...yeah! This is basically exactly what you think it is. Loser gets eliminated, winner moves on to the next round, yadda yadda yadda, voting lasts for three days.
Hop to it!

Saucerful has some great moments, but Piper is more consistently good.

The debut is way more significant and I prefer the songwriting.

Holy Lord, this is actually going the exact opposite of where I expected it to-I expected Piper to totally dominate(Even though I hate that album and think Saucerful is way better it seems to be the more highly acclaimed of the two).

When I listened to them a while ago, Saucerful sounded much worse than I remembered. Piper stood the test of time nicely. It has got the better individual songs, too.

Piper for me... one of the most psychedelic album of that era, great energy and a great debut album, compare to sauceful

I think Saucerful is probably the 'proggier' of the two but for me Piper showcases Barrett at the very top of his game i.e. he wrote brilliant pop songs that dwarf the subsequent 20 minute numbing prog extravaganzas of the post-Syd Floyd. Of course that's just my opinion but I'm sure Syd would agree

Piper. I don't think that post Syd Floyd really found their mojo until Meddle.

Neither of these is the best. Meddle is the best (best must be the comparative of three or more).
Of these, Saucerful of Secrets is marginally the better of two very poor albums. Edited by Hercules - October 14 2010 at 10:25 |

They are Pink Floyd's two best albums. I love them both. My vote goes to Piper in an attempt to even the scores.

Ummm...Piper. I would say obviously, but apparently the wind is blowing from the Roger Waters camp today. I mean, I enjoy Saucerful well enough (except for the execrable title track), but it always comes off as a half inspired, half desperate imitation of what they had previously recorded with Barrett.

No doubt, I prefer Piper! Syd was a demigod who they didn't keep for a long time ...

No. I can't vote here I bought them together when they were released as "A nic pair" so for me it's like tey are a double album.
