Topic: Your favourite album of 1976-1980 era Posted: September 27 2010 at 12:19 |
First of all I was trying to mention the albums of Great Bands. Of course there a lot of 'one shot' albums which are often better than famous ones.
But I just wanted to know what album of illustrious bands you prefer. If you don't like any - poll 25 is 'yours'.

I've put VdGG's "STILL Life" in "poll question"!!!!!!!
I don't advise you to create any poll after 10 hours in the university....

I suppose you can still change that, by editing your first post. I think.
My choice is still: Going For The One by Yes.

1976-'80 is a draught period for me. I do like BJH's Octoberon though; I choose OTHER.

So many 5-star albums IMO. Impossible to choose, but I'll give a vote for Hammill's "Over" because I love it so dearly and it will probably lose badly ... but I honestly love every album on that list with the exception of the Kansas one, and "Rain Dances" is not a favourite.

Sticking solely to prog albums, these are some of my choices: Magma's Attahk, Eskaton's 4 Visions, Univers Zero's Heresie, Heldon's Stand By, The Muffins' Manna/Mirage, National Health's Of Queues and Cures, Klaus Schulze's X, Weidorje's s/t, National Health's debut, Univers Zero's debut.
My vote, therefore, is "Other: one of that bunch".

My vote goes to Still Life... but there should be "A Trick of the Tail" on the list.

Always thought that was a 1975 release.
