Having lived in Los Angeles,Sacramento and St. Louis. I've been to Chicago and NYC. I like deep dish and hand tossed but I gotta go with the NYC pizzas. Something about the large foldable slices.

in the bay area we usually have sourdough crust which is more risen and bready than NY style but not nearly as much as deepdish, it's a very good style though good NYC thin is also great.. I don't like the cracker crust, tastes like I'm eating cardboard covered in sauce and cheese

but ultimately I have to go with the kind you get in Rome, if that's what you mean by trad. Italian, so that's my vote

Yes. I'd hit them up when they used to have a lunch buffet. Mike's Pizza in Panorama City had some of the best pizza back in the 60's/70's. Awesome garlic rolls as well.

fack, man, I have a friend whose parents make homemade hand-tossed pizza every friday night (of course, I'm there as often as possible :D) and it's the best pizza I've ever had even heard of.

yeah homemade is almost always great, quite a bit of work though if you make the dough and sauce from scratch

In Atlanta the best we've had is Athens Pizza House Greek Pizza.  My wife is from New York and thinks Chicago style is heresy. LOL  She's taken to making her own dough though...Big smile

Well Athens PH is owned by Greeks, you can get feta, gyro meat, kalamata olives on the pizza.  Mmmmm.

I think they more or less invented the notion of putting things on bread and baking it

feta cheese is the greatest thing ever on pizza.  Especially with spinach (which I otherwise don't really dig)

The best pizza I have ever had is at Woody's Pizza and Tap in Boston. Man, I miss that place. If any of you are from Boston, go there and say hi to Rich for me.

1 Tortilla
Pizza sauce
Cheese
Toppings

Cook on 425 degrees F for 8-10 minutes.

It's not the best, but it's college-level convenient and awesome.
