Hey all.

This thread is here for anyone who may have any advice for how I can improve my contributions to ProgArchives, or any other sense of improvement that may come to mind. All valid opinions are welcome!

Thanks,
Conor Fynes

Maintain an interest in a wide variety of topics. Try to be forever educating yourself. Self-critique your behaviour towards others and try to improve. Work diligently, but make sure you find time to relax and enjoy yourself. Engage in hobbies that are rewarding. Do what makes YOU happy, because your happiness is the most important part of your life.
That's what I try to do (with varying degrees of success)

Maintain a positive attitude toward your work here.  Listen to as much music as possible, even outside of your main interests. When reviewing, remember that your judging someone's sweat and tears, so be as diplomatic as possible.  Don't worry about making every review perfect...just keep writing.  You'll get better over time.

(These are general suggestions, not really specific to my knowledge of you Conor.  But maybe you'll find them helpful anyway.)

Conor you've improved immensely since you started writing reviews-- you're focused, and you balance info with insight well.  Keep going and you may just end up an outstanding music journalist.  All I would say is keep your sentences simple but with impact rather than simply describing certain songs' aspects and playing.  In other words, make everything count, and if it's not absolutely necessary you can probably leave it out.

Good work.

Read George Starostin and Mark Prindle reviews for some insight, and be open minded. I don't know, just keep writing. I'm in the same boat as you, I think.

I consider myself in a phase of financial/equipment troubles right now!
However, Recordungs II (working title: Masterfaeces) WILL come to light by the end of the year; and I'm think it will be a double album. Wink

Thank you so much for your opinions and suggestions, friends. I've been on a quest lately to improve myself  and by extension- improve my life. Every little thing counts in the long run.
