Yes Tour 2005 - Sort Of

Yes is always full of surprises, and 2005 brings new ones. Jon Anderson and Rick Wakeman are off on solo adventures, preventing an official Yes tour.

So, this summer and fall, Steve Howe, Chris Squire, Alan White and Geoff Downes will be touring the USA and Europe, 4/5ths of the line-up that made the Drama album.

They'll be performing as part of three different acts - Syn, Steve Howe solo, and White - then performing Yes music together. The name of the tour? More Drama, of course.

Please check all the Drama songs you want to hear.

OK, so my computer had a brain fart. You can only pick one song from Drama, but write all your choices in your reply, and I'll personally pass them on to Jon. I mean Chris.

My choice, "Does It Really Happen?" is coming on strong.

>i hope jon and rick get back in the lineup for 2006

I hate to be cynical, but I think that depends on their CA$H needs. It seems like Jon and esp Rick only want to do solo.

Further, Jon seems intent on recycling old content in DVD format - it will be interesting to see if he ever releases a new song again, with or without Yes.

Does It Really Happen, Machine Messiah, Tempus Fugit, Run Through the Light, and Into the Lens will do.  Whether they do all of these remains to be seen.  I wonder if they have any new tunes in the offing?

either:

Tempus Fugit

(only with extended solos

and interludes. 6:00 minutes is not enough!!!)

or:

Does it Really Happen?

or (in an ideal world):

Into the Lens

(without all the "camera, camera" nonsense)

Well, apparently they've confirmed they're playing Machine Messiah and Tempus Fugit. Now if we could only get Does It Really Happen? That's one of the most bitchin' songs ever recorded.
