Topic: Who is the most pretentious prog musician ever? Posted: July 10 2010 at 19:04 |
Yes, i know almost every prog musician is pretencious, but who is the most?
We can make a poll later. My vote goes to Robert Fripp. Quoting Bruford: "(...) that poor pretencious virtuoso. god bless him..."

Robert Fripp is far from the most pretentious. He never even came off as very pretentious to me actually, he sits back on stage and doesn't draw attention to himself at all. People always say he's being pretentious or arrogant when he discusses his music, but when you're describing the intricacies of your own music how don't you sound pretentious?

I know I'm going to be trivial, predictable, and all 'round generic with this one, but:
Rick Wakeman...

Well, it was a joke. A bad one, right, yet a joke anyway. And his sister is far more pretentious.

Yes, but I'm a thousand times the lesser musician, so on average I'm the more pretentious musician.

The use of "pretentious" and "prog" together in the same sentence should be banned.
