Gorillaz

Yes, I said Gorillaz. Am i the only one who considers them prog? I saw them recently at Coachella and I've been obsessed since. their sound is infused with funk, dub, pop, rock, electronic, R&B, dance, rap, soul and almost everything good. It Is the brainchild of Damon Albarn formally of Blur (not prog). They have been active since 1998 and always top charts. They are seen as this mainstream pop group with no talent and nothing but studio magic. Originally, they weren't showing their faces, only animated images, and they never played live until a point. live shows still remain rare, and when they do there is usually a screen in front of them. yeah, they aren't for the average prog ear, but i think they fit the criteria.

c'mon man think about. have you listened to their albums as a whole? or are you just making judgments?

hmmmmm...... i guess i'm crazy than. whatever. I know they aren't 100 percent prog but i do feel they should be considered.

No, not even close.

Creative does not equal prog.

I hadn't heard music by this band before and only vaguely recognised the name, but thought it would be fun to share some links relating it to prog.

Ahem, don't like to be in opposition, but logical answer would be: "No, there is too few of you out there".

I don't support them though, but there is more people like him who support Gorilazz.
