My top 100 artists... this was exceedingly difficult to make.

< ="-" ="text/; =utf-8">< name="GENERATOR" ="Office.org 3.2 Win32">< ="text/">

This is my list of favorite bands. There are 4 categories.

1-10 = A

11-40 = B

41-70 = C

This means that number 22 is more or less equal to number 39, and that number 73 is more or less equal to 97, and 52 is more or less equal to 65, and 1 is more or less equal to 8.

But, 1 is somewhat better than 17, while 22 is somewhat better than 51, 1 is much better than 88.

Oh, boy, this thing will probably change, rapidly, too. I'm always discovering new artists. Agalloch is the most recent addition. The rating system was inspired by George Starostin's system, somewhat.

Some bands that might be making the list, hereby kicking someone else out:

-Kate Bush
-Orphaned Land
-Renaissance
-The Gathering
-Deadsoul Tribe
-Simon & Garfunkle
-Billie Holiday
-The Ink Spots
-Modest Mouse
-Anathema
-Kamelot
-Mahavishnu Orchestra
-lots of italian prog bands

I spent hours and hours ruminating over this list, and even I don't think it's 100% accurate of my tastes. I'd like to see what you folks think. I definitely don't recommend trying this.

Up next I plan on listing my favorite 500 albums...I dread it...

I'm contemplating a similar thing to categorise my collection.

I'm still working on a concise method of rating of artist and albums. maybe even songs too (just create a selection of 10 top songs per artist etc.

I already have a preliminary draft, which of course will be an ever evolving list.

As for your list I can say that I completely don't agree with it :) I'll post my aprox list shortly so you can spot the differences.
I'm always almost unlucky _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Id5ZcnjXSZaSMFMC Id5LM2q2jfqz3YxT

I can't really help what makes me feel. the Beatles output just never grabbed me like John's Lennon/Plastic Ono Band did. Same goes for McCartney's Ram and Wings' Band on the Run. This is in no way a list of the 'best' bands. Such a thing is so subjective that it makes my tummy hurt.
