-You think "Another Brick in the Wall, Part II' is called "We Don't Need No Education"
-"Another Brick in the Wall, Part II' is also your favorite Pink Floyd song. (because it and Money are the only ones you've ever heard)
-You claim Radiohead is progressive, even slightly.
-You try to show off how "prog" you are by wearing "Dark Side of the Moon" t-shirts to school. (instead of Animals)
-You even dare ATTEMPT to get your older sister into liking prog.

  - When 3 out of 5 things in your post are related to Pink Floyd.
 - When you only know Jethro Tull and Rush through Rock Band.

If you think prog-rock started in the mid-90's.
If you think that current forward-thinking bands that  sound only like themselves and sound nothing like early '70's bands can't be prog

You create polls with names like "list your top 10 Van Der Graaf Generator songs" and "which is the best prog band of all time?" with the only options being Yes, King Crimson, Genesis, Pink Floyd and Van Der Graaf Generator.

I'm probably a prog newbie, since I've only gotten into the genre in the past few years. I've heard a couple hundred albums, though!!

The scary thing: knowing you've only hit the tip of the iceberg.

I'm a prog oldbie and that feeling hasn't passed.

Me neither, but that only means I have countless hours of enjoyment ahead of me!! Prog is the most diverse genre I know of, and I probably own only a small percentage of it, but I discover something new that piques my interest once or twice a week on here.

I've had people tell me that a 7 minute song is too long.
