ATTENTION PM Spam Scam for the lovelorn

Just to note that PMs were sent under various accounts to various members.  PA has taken action, but if you get a message from a stranger that says she or he is interested in you and wants you to contact her/him, it is part of a scam and you should not communicate with the person.

  The fraudsters behind this Nigerian scam have been doing it for a while on the internet (sometimes poses as female, sometimes as male).

It's not a fraudster really - although this site may have been targeted by one such setup. Usually there's a gang of boys doing this from one Internet Cafe, using that one as their base of operations.

And they handle all minor traffic - getting people to send money and stuff. Well armed with pictures of women from different nationalities, more often than not with one or more women involved to handle phone calls as well (although in many cases, especially new set-ups, the boys will try to impersonate a woman on the phone as well).

If they manage to lure someone to travel down there, other gangs of more well established fraudsters will take over. The same people trying to trick money out of people by using the "millions in the bank looking for an owner" scheme. More often than not resulting in the disappearance of whoever's stupid enough to travel down there, and the subsequent death when the person can't get them more money.

Most common in Nigeria true enough, but these days most African nations have such schemes. As long as they have a destabilized government system where corruption flourishes, these set-ups will go on without anyone looking into them. For quite a few nations it is one of their most important "industries".

what if you actually do get a legitimate PM from a young African model offering you her body and money?

That's who my PM was from.

I had a look on the PAs Memberlist and noticed that Joy1000 and Joy4000 have also registered today.

not surprised ....   people here are easy targets.

There was a special collab, name withheld to protect the innocent, who first registered here with a female name and was bombarded with PM's by all kinds of posters.  Many of them collabs.. many of the them English of course hahha.  Of course this person decided it was getting too creepy and registered under a new name, their present one, but has managed to look the same way twice at some of the collabs that wanted to get in his pants
