Hello guys, my computer is quite old and recently Mozilla Firefox (3.0) didn't let me enter lots of pages. Ended up deleting it and tried to find the link to install it again but I can't find anywhere, besides I'm using Internet Explorer(not sure what version, but it's a old one) which works very bad.

It would be very helpful if any of you could provide me link to the installation of Mozilla Firefox 3.0 (for Windows 98) or some version of Safira that works for Windows 98.

Thanks.

Click to download Firefox.

That is a direct link to the download page for the newest version of Firefox, if it doesn't work, then perhaps your OS/pc is too old to run it. Maybe try Chrome or Opera.

Hi Pablo,

You can get Firefox (which I recommend from experience. Opera wasn't very user-friendly) here

UnhappyI can't download that, I got Windows 98, thanks though.

I'm checking out Opera to see if it works at least. I just want a web browser that has tabs, and well goes somewhat fast. (all this for Windows 98, of course)

If you've got an old computer, you might want to try K-Meleon. Once you customize it, it's almost like Firefox, except a little faster. I use it on XP, but It's supposed to run on Windows 98 as well.

So far it works well, and just what I wanted...

Throw away your computer. I know it sounds cruel, but it's just too old.

None will work correctly in Windows 98. Microsoft stopped releasing updates for 98 like about 4 years ago. It's the 21st century- you know. Windows XP will probably install on it but the best plan would be to get a new system. If you can't afford it, get a linux distro and install it.

Rethink- if you are still on 98, linux is probably a bad idea as you don't sound very tech savvy. Don't mean to be harsh. Smile

If more people refused to buy a new computer once in a few years, new operating systems and software might not have such ridiculous system requirements.

Oh so true. It is getting ridiculous. Not everyone requires a high spec system which are the domain of on-line gamers or high downloaders eg: movies who have graphic intensive requirements. Sure, it is great to have a "fast" system but at what price? Land-fills filled with toxic waste!!

It was the newest stuff 5 or 6 years ago....

I know you're a computer-wise guy, but I really like my old computer for some other aspects that the new ones don't have, and that is simplicity Wink

Seriously, I do have a PC with Windows XP, well I'm using it now, but barely do.... it doesn't have any music, not permitted to use MSN here, and other cons... few pros would be 'lots of memory' to use and moderately fast operating system compared to the other...

Umm... there's this thing out there called money, and I doubt Pablo is willing to spend $2,500 right now when he can get a new browserWink

A decent computer is roughly around $500 actually. It would handle most newfangled technology like videos and images right there in the interwebs, even if you can't play some games with full 3d super-over-hyperdrive graphics.

Dollars I suppose which that is at least $1500 (pesos) for me. But I haven't seen really any at that price, standard price would be $2500.

Well, let's say it was $500. Still what's better? A free new browser, or a $500 new PC?LOL

If Windows 98 was the newest thing 5-6 years ago, something is seriously wrong.

I have heard (well read anyway) that a lot of people are saying Windows 7 is more like XP than it is Vista. The only problem is that if your computer is as old as Windows 98 it probably won't be able to install it.
