The date could change, but VdGG is scheduled to be on Chicago radio station WXRT next Tuesday night at 10pm. They were interviewed, etc, for a show called 'Eclectic Company' which is hosted by Jon Langford (of The Mekons).

I'm not sure if XRT streams over the 'net but I would imagine that it must.

I'll bump this up next week, closer to the date.

Just had it confirmed: VdGG on WXRT 93.1 Tuesday, July 14 from 10pm to 12am. It
does stream over the 'net. Will bump up closer to air date.

Pretty incredible, actually. I guess you'd have to live in Chicago to appreciate
it, but WXRT is a major rock station (billboards on the highway, etc) and I
never thought I'd hear VdGG on there. Can't wait.

This airs tonight, Tuesday July 14 @ 10pm - 12am Central Time.

For those in the Chicagoland area, it's 93.1 WXRT.

On the web, go to: http://www.wxrt.com/pages/1522203.php
It does stream live (upper right corner, click onto the sreaming box).

I just heard a commercial for it in my car! Very cool. Jon Langford, in his British accent (well, accent to me anyway), says something like, "On this week's 'Eclectic Company' we have British rock legends Van der Graaf Generator, who've just completed their first ever American tour. I talk to Peter Hammill, who Johnny Rotten credits with creating punk rock, and the other Generators and take them all to a shopping mall. Tune in at 10pm..."

It's pretty funny because I do remember the guys joking around with Jon about being taken to Old Orchard shopping mall in Skokie, Illinois (most [all?] people reading this have probably never been there but it's funny to think of VdGG walking around this very quaint, large outdoor mall and stopping into places like Starbucks [which they actually did] and talking about their career and other stuff).

I believe it's also the sort of show where the guests talk about tunes they like by other artists and those get played so it will be interesting to see what non-VdGG music airs.
