I'm itching to see a prog. show, but none of the bands I listen to are on tour.  Does anyone know of anything good coming up in Chicago?

Well you have Zip Tang and Lobster Newberg, they are newer prog bands and are from Chicago  Smile
and they are playing together 3/20 at the Abbey Pub...

On April 3rd at Chicago theater you have Chick Corea, Five Peace Band and John McLaughlin

and on Sun April 5th you have Pelican, Tombs and Wolves in the Throneroom at the Empty Bottle.

4/12  Dredg, Maps & Atlases, and Torche at the Empty Bottle...

4/16 Sleepytime Geurilla Museum and Dub Trio at the Bottom Lounge ..

4/17 Jeff Beck at Park West.

4/19 Adrian Belew at Old Town School of Folk Music

4/24 Todd Rudgren at Park West

4/30 Mastodon, Intronaut and Kylesa at the Metro/Smart Bar

5/1 Russian Circles at the Bottom Lounge

5/6 Opeth and Enslaved at the House of Blues

5/7 and 5/8  Queensryche at the House of Blues

5/8 Mogwai at Congress Theater

6/6 Robin Trower at the House of Blues...

(Think I'll move to Chicago... ton of shows...)
www.pollstar.com

You can also visit last.fm and click on the events tab and search by city... alot more underground or newer bands will be listed here.. though you may have to check the info since members enter it...  the pollstar link above is more popular stuff...
