Yeah, I read today's newspaper and looked at the music reviews section... there was a rather positive review for an album by a band called Au, who are from Oregon and apparently they're some kind of throwback to the krautrock scene! Since last year I got into krautrock (in the form of Can) it sounds like something I wouldn't mind listening to. Then, I checked the Archives and Au aren't here. I now suspect that either there's not that much krautrock over Au and the reviewer didn't know what he was talking about or they're really obscure. On the other hand, if they can get reviewed by an (admittedly fringey) Danish newspaper then they can't be that under-the-radar...

So, have anyone here heard Au and what's your guys' opinion on them?

I'm listening to the myspace now: http://www.myspace.com/peaofthesea
Won't have time to comment much now as I have to go soon, but I certainly like it!

Checking out their myspace... some of it reminds me more of Frank Zappa than anything krautrock, though others have quite the Can vibe down. I think they belong here.Smile
