I just bought

Unexpect's In a Flesh Aquarium

Which is brilliant (maybe not for going to sleep to, but hey) It combines some of the best of Disco Volante (an old favorite that I could never listen to all the way through) and Indukti (which gets a little old after awhile) and may be better than both.

Where do go from here into Avant and extreme stuff. Some of it is just too random and chaotic, I need some structure. I also am not a big fan of dragonvoice, though when it's tempered by other vocals I handle it (big Opeth fan, starting to delve into Cynic)

A friend also loaned me Magma's MDK and I'm working hard to try to get it, but I'm not there yet.

Suggestions for more music?
You are quite a fine person, and I am very fond of you. But you are only quite a little fellow, in a wide world, after all.

Wow, that's a lot to work with.

I'm not sure about the harshness of Ephel Duath's vocals, though they get alot of recommendations. I'm listening to their myspace right now at your suggestion and their is some interesting stuff. A little more stoner-rockish than Unexpect.

I've several of the Bunglish bands like SGM, DFD, and Estradasphere. SGM seems the best. Fantomas seem even a little "noisier" than Bungle, but I may end up with some of their stuff.

So much music, so little time.

Ok, here's my list of recent discs, looking for recommendations again....

Unexpect - Flesh Acquarium
Ulver - Blood Inside (right now this is in its honeymoon 5+ star period, we'll see where it goes)
Anglagard - Buried Inside (remarkably good since you can't get the real albums)
Dark Suns - Grave Human Genuine (sampling that one right now on last.fm, probably will get it)
Dead Soul Tribe - (I love the flute instrumental Gossamer Strand and whenever they get more prog and less straight rock, right now I downloaded that one song, trying to decide which album to buy)

I don't know if there is any common ground there...but always looking for new ideas.
