Topic: Rush deserted island question ? Posted: September 22 2008 at 20:36 |
Yes you are on a deserted island (surprise surprise) but luckily for you (if your a Rush fan) you managed to escape the sinking boat with some music, but you didn't have much time so you could only grab what you could before the boat sank ! above are the things you can choose but the waters are shark infested and you can't carry much because you need to swim fast ! you are stuck on this island for a long time the music you select here is probably the only thing going to keep you sane till you are rescued DO NOT SELECT THE WRONG BUNDLE OR YOU WILL NOT SURVIVE !!! as keeping sane is your only chance to survive ...

I have nothing against the last 3 of Rush, not the greatest music on the planet, but still decent listenings, so i go with them as it is 3 times more music than the other option
Imagine listening to only HEMISPHERE over and over......might not like it after a while

Now if it were Third that might be a different story. I'd probably choose the 3 CDs over the 1, crazy as that sounds.

easy.. Hem in a heartbeat, an astounding album, and it actually has gotten better with age in that I like all the material now rather than just most of it
..and Test For Echo ain't so great, in fact it kinda stinks.. that's repetitive

I happen to find Test for Echoes and Vapor Trails some of Rush's finest work. So easy vote.

Hemispheres. VT and S&A are great, T4E I don't love, but Hemispheres is king.

While I'd normally go crazy if I could only listen to 1 album for a long time, it IS Hemispheres that we're talking about.

Its actually more than 5 times as much music, considering the latter albums are much longer

Woah, tough poll alert!
But, in the end... I love all of Rush's albums. So, here's how I figure: 3 Rush albums > 1 Rush album.
T4E, S&A, and VT for me.

3 is greater than 1. Although, I could probably get away with just the 1, since according to the other thread, I will have Journey on the island as well to play concerts for me.
