Concerning the threads that are moved around from thread to thread, I was thinking- its good that Maani and team are putting things in their right places, but it seems somewhat pointless, because once the thread is moved, it simply reads "moved: thread name" in the forum it was moved from! If its going to be moved, shouldn't it be fully moved to the other thread, without it leaving a trace of where it used to be? Just a thought.

Good point SN.

If you use the "Active topics" facility, it only appears in the section it has been moved to.

You'll see the "Active topics" button at the top of the page SN, near "Help".

If you click on it, it shows you all the threads which have been updated (i.e. had further posts) since you last logged on to the forum. It's a good quick way of just seeing threads which have changed since you last read them.

Peter is a brilliant and well educated man, but when it comes to knowledge of his computer, he's Forrest Gump.
