Saw Rush at the Gorge Amphitheater in Washington on Saturday, May 31st. It was an absolutely FANTASTIC show. Rush was in good form as usual. The venue was quite windy but that did not put them off one bit. The riggers that sit up in the lights to run the stage spots got the ride of their lives for sure, with all the hanging lights swinging a good 6 or 7 feet back and forth in the wind. It didn't seem to phase them in the slightest.
The show was fantastic, opening with Limelight again this year. But they had a new visual show for the audience that was fantastic. And their Encore had no Cover songs in it this time around, everything was pure Rush from start to finish.
Considering this band is pushing 60, they still play with the energy of a band half their age. And with such perfection. They are still very much a crowd pleaser in the truest sense of the phrase. And they always play at 110%. they do not know the meaning of putting on a "bad show" ever.
This is a band that I will continue to see until they decide to hang up their "touring hats" which I hope is not for a long, long time.

Well said. I had a blast seeing them last Thursday, and there were no technical difficulties on my end. Probably my favorite concert (of the 3 I've seen )

You will not be disappointed I can assure yo of that. So you are seeing them in Detroit? I can only imagine that the closer to home they get, the better the shows get. I must admit though, the gorge show was fantastic. I saw them at the White River Amphitheater last year, and it was a great show as well, but the venue really kind of sucked. As long as you weren't under the metal roof, it sounded real good. And I was up on the grass, so the sound was great. But the gorge, there are no bad seats in my opinion.
Enjoy the show in Detroit

I saw them in Vancouver last night and I have to say it was much better than last years show at White River. I won't spoil it for people who have yet to see the show but the set list changes were good and unexpected, however I'm sad as to the two songs they dropped. All in all freakin awesome show and Niels drum solo only gets better and better.

I saw them in Vancouver as well; which two songs did they drop from the original setlist?

They actually dropped 3 songs from from last year, and switched out 1 that was a cover for another that was not.

I saw them in Portland (Ridgefield WA). Tom Sawyer was especially well-played maybe the best live version I've heard from them.

That tiny bit of Cygnus X-1 book 1 at the end of Tom Sawyer was really a tease too

Easy now, I already disclosed that info but in a clever and most importantly confidential, MUST HIGHLITE TO SEE kinda way , as to not spoil it for those who have yet to see the show. Keep that in mind for future posts.

Rush will be releasing a DVD of the tour some time this fall.  I think that I might have posted the exact date in the Rush Fan Central thread, but I don't recall that date at this point.
