I've just listened to the first album of the band called "Alaska" and been pleasefull surprised by the richness of good sounds based on the british band ELP's work. Can anyone tell me anything new about this band? To me it's a revelation, cause i've never listened such a good mixture of Yes and ELP sounds in an original conception frame. Another similitude with Yes is that the vocalist and drummer isn't a proffesional, he is a constructor.

Whitesnake's Bernie Marsden had a band called Alaska in the 80's/90's and released two albums - wish bands would make more effort to pick names not previously used,
e.g. unlike:
Horse
Skid Row
Steps
Soma
If
Nirvana
Drifters

Al Lewis is the singer for Starcastle. The keyboard player also contributed to the Starcastle album. If I remember correctly, he did orchestral arrangements on one song.
