Zenobia creates some simple music, but the influence from prog is extremely obvious. They do label themselves with "Progressive/Pop/Rock", which is fairly accurate because the songs are simple and listenable like pop music, but they have a sound similar to that of their influences. My only issue with these guys is that it is very hard to read stuff on their myspace page (it's very transparent). Other than that, their music is nice and they have a good sound.
It looks as though they may have an album (Self titled, 2005), but like normal I cannot speak the Italian language. If there is someone who can contact them and get that info, that'd be great. If not, I can try... |

I only had a quick listen - not the most complicated of compositions indeed, but a more extensive demo or even an album to listen to might change that. (often bands put their most accessible works on MySpace as we all know by now).
@Andrea any possibility for you to contact them? |

^^^ I think that the best way to contact new bands is our brand new official Myspace

I have no clue what changed in the past months, but here's what I found now.
The site on MySpace is more readable now, but there's no more mention of an album from 2005 there - only a 3 track demo. The music is certainly not completely straight forward rock, for that they deviate from the standard patterns just enough. At the same time, it's not the most progressive either, but I could enjoy this for quite a while without getting bored. And to illustrate Dan's point from months ago: with a little bit more keyboard, tutto il tempo del mundo could've been a Toto track. "Se Versione Sara" brings in a female singer, who is not mentioned further on the page, but who has a wonderful and powerful voice. I'll try contact them through MySpace to see what's going on.
