Well I haven't heard all of those albums but I will vote anyway. "Warrior on the edge of time" is my favourite as well.

I think 'Warrior on the edge of time' will be pretty much everyone's best loved Hawkwind album.

This may be crazy but I like pre-Lemmy Hawkwind better so In Search Of Space.

My vote goes to Levitation It's a classic prog rock album, and one of the few Hawkwind albums where the playing is excellent all the way through.

'Warrior comes a close second'

Then the Calvert albums (Quark & PXR5) Then 'Hall of the mountain Grill'

Their Live albums 'Live Chronicles' and 'Dont Panic - Live at Stonehenge 1984' are also excellent.

Ultimately bored by endless ecstasy!

I like that weird and strange name ahead of your post.

Space Bandits is great. It's a liitle too short though and Iwish that they could have featured Briget Wishart on ALL the tracks. From this list ( I have 'em all ) I went with Warrior, my favourite Hawkwind cover as well. Levitation is by far not one of my faves. Can you believe Ginger Baker wanted to call the band Ginger Baker's Hawkwind! At the same time probably the most unlikely Hawkwind line up which lasted for a grand total of 1 album!

Warrior is the best studio album, but Space Ritual is the definitive Hawkwind album for me.

Anyone who has the compilation 'Roadhawks' from '76.Listern to the way that ''Wind of change'' is mixed into ''The golden void''.Absolutly awesome.

Thought I'd ask as your username is the name of a Sabbath song off the awful 'Born again' album they made with Ian Gillan.

I agree about Sabotage. Brilliant album! Quite prog too.

yes you are right it is the track 5 on 'Born again....How much i dislike that album. But my user name was obviously taken from the Gong Trilogy.

Yes 'Sabotage' is a brilliant album & the last in the great line for me.Totaly dislike 'Technical Ecstacy' too, although that was an Ozzy album.

I have to agree that Sabotage is Sabbath`s Tour de Force. Symptom of the Universe  has to be one of the heaviest tracks ever commited to tape both lyrically and musically.

Hall Of The Mountain Grill really does have some spectacular moments ... Psychedelic Warlords (disappear in smoke), D-Rider, You'd Better Believe It, Wind Of Change ... Hawkwind's best work in the studio, methinks

"No" replies the unhumbled optimist "You are only the present."
