I watched the Porcupine Tree Arriving Somewhere DVD the other day, which was said to be an entire concert.  Noticing that the concert was only about an hour and a half, I wanted to know if anyone could tell me if their concerts are always this short.  I was thinking of buying tickets to go see them in Houston but if they are only going to play for an hour and a half I'm not sure if I want to make the trip.  Can anyone answer this for me?  I would check in the concert review section but I don't want to know the setlist in case I do go...

Just go - well worth the trip - even at 1-1/2 hrs.

I believe it's a little over an hour and a half, though it may depend on the location or scenario. And as Rushaholic says, just go. It's never about the duration, it's about the quality.

I have a recording of one of there shows from the end of the deadwing tour and it was about 2 hours in length. Not bad, I'd say the shows worth seeing. (I can't wait to see them in Toronto in a few weeks!)

They play for two hours at least.

Last year at the Academy in Manchester they came on stage at 9pm and left it at 11.20

To tied you over here's a preview of the video for Way Out Of Here used in the live show:

I saw them live, it was great. (But I would suggest bringing earplugs!)

They played a solid 2 and a half hours when I saw them. It was a tad loud, but just loud enough to give you maximum sensory overload. But don't worry, it isn't like The Who, whose volume can kill livestock

I guess with all the positive feedback I have no choice but to goWink.  Houston is a little over a six hour drive from where I live, so the gas price would amount to be nearly $200!!!  At least the tickets are only $16.
