Topic: Another "vote for your favourite from this list... Posted: September 09 2007 at 19:17 |
Well, seen as the last one was a success and Zappa won hands down...... I thought I should make another best band poll which I think is just that little bitty harder. So you proguli had better enjoy this one! Oh, and keep the fighting over who's best act clean, alright?! Also, as usual I'm going to slip in my vote after a few votes come in. Happy voting!

Apoteosi for me. One of those lost hidden gems I treasure. Therion is my second pick from that list although there are several bands there which I have not heard.

Ulver. One of the best modern bands.

I was one of the wise-guy Canadians that voted for Canuck fav's Saga. Really, an underrated band that had four great albums and great songwriting talents. You also have to give credit to a band that moves a bit beyond safety and releases a live album/DVD of a "re-done" album in its completion. After hearing Genesis' 1999 remake of Carpet Crawlers it made me wish more bands would give the old remake thing a shot. A Genesis remake of the entire Lamb album would be neat.

Mostly Autumn, though Magenta have been giving them a run for their money as of late, as far as my personal preference goes.

Don't know too many of those bands, unfortunately... Lately I haven't dedicated as much time or money to the discovery of new music as I would've liked. However, I voted for Colosseum, with Egg not far behind.

Ash Ra... Tempel, not Temple!!!
One of my Top 5 bands. Manuel Gottsching is one of the world's one of the most innovative and tasteful guitarists. And then plus Klaus Schulze sometimes... Magic.

That's cause I took one band from each prog category. And as far as personal preference goes, my vote gets cast for Hawkwind, truly beautiful music! With Ash Ra Temple a close second and... probably Mostly Autumn third.
