Topic: How can I find out what happens to "cleared" bands Posted: April 16 2007 at 14:01 |
Today I was looking for the first time at the Prog Metal's Team Voting Chart.
Looking at this chart I was wondering what does happen to bands with the status "cleared" or "new"?
I checked the forum but I couldn't find any answers.
In the chart I also noticed some "cleared" or "new" bands I'm very enthousiastic about. If I can be of any help in providing more information on these bands, I'm more than willing. But how?

You are more than welcome to send the PMT team any bio that you write for a band.
The PMT consists of:
Jody - TheProgtologist
Bryan
MikeEnRegalia
Avestin
As for cleared bands, we are working on some of them, i.e. writing bio's or gathering info to write them. As we are only four and with limited time on our hands, we welcome any help we can get and an appropriate credit will be given in the bio for the writer.

I'm not on the PMT, but I used to be the co-leader of the Art Rock team, and I know how those charts work. Usually, a 'cleared' band gets added as soon as someone has the time to write up a bio and discography. A 'new' band, instead, has just been added to the chart, and is therefore waiting to be assessed by the team members.
The answer to your second question is that you can provide bios and discographies for the bands you like, and send them to the team, so you can save them the work involved in writing them up (it can be very time-consuming, as I know quite well). Only Special Collabs can add bands, but the author of the bio is always credited at the end of it.

Great, just be sure to tell us which band/s you are working on so there are no duplications and redundancy.
Thanks
