Hi:

I suppose most of you know the Kevin Bacon game (join any person with Kevin Bacon). So I proposse the KEVIN BACON PROG GAME: Join anyone with Kevin Bacon USING AT LEAST ONE PROG musician as a starting point or a knot in the chain.

It may seem difficult, but a friend of mine managed to join himself with Bacon. A clue: he used Tony Banks. How HE got to Tony Banks was a miracle...

So... who can join, let's say... Sir John Gielgud with Kevin Bacon? It's just 3 steps...

Not sure about the Kevin Bacon/prog connection, but we could have our own variation. I can think of 3 potential prog 'Kevin Bacons':

John Wetton

Brian Eno

Robert Fripp

In fact, in the case of Eno you could probably link to almost any musician in any genre.

'Like so many of you
I've got my doubts about how much to contribute
to the already rich among us...'

Robert Wyatt, Gloria Gloom

Tony Banks and Fish recorded one track for a movie soundtrack. This movie featured Bacon as a young would-be yuppie who has to struggle his way upwards to the top of Wall Street in order to prove himself a good business man and give back his parents' savings (he had lost it all in a bad investment, at the beginning of the movie). The movie was Quicksilver, I think.

Regards.

And Tony made the soundtrack for 'The Wicked Lady', starring Sir John Gielgud.
