i dont like the sound of the title, it seems to be another ToT album or at least that metallic Confused

but the title reminds me of the 101 prog metal rules:

34. Make sure your bandname is either a
a) Oxymoron
-Silent Noise
-Tender Harshness
-Healing Gun
b) Some geeky sounding name ripped from some obscure book.
-Deitronus
-Tarakoch
-Fentaran
or
c) Random combination of at least 2 three-syllable words.
-Eternal Twilight Tranquility (Can`t get much progger than that)
-Redolent Arithmetic
-Evolution of Vernacular Domesticated
35. Don`t worry about if your band name makes any sense or not. Since 90% of your fanbase is from Brazil and Japan, you can safely ignore conventional English grammar and instead focus on what´s really important: The lyrics (see rule 36).

Well.. I don't like it, after majestic title, conclusion Octavarium it seems to me like a useless step back:) I hope the music won't be.

it's a good title – a typical DREAM THEATER monicker, as it implies the
combination of both disciplined and anarchic structures, that they are
always trying to convey – think “six degrees of inner turbulence“ –
personally i don't care much and i certainly won't by it. but good luck
and to them on the roadrunner label! atlantic/eastwest/warner are
obviously not earning enough cash with them...
progressive rock and rural tranquility don't match. true or false?

^ I don't think that DT aren't profitable enough for Warner ... I rather think that DT wanted a label that gives them more artistic freedom.

Sound nu-metal(ish), but overall the name is good.

I find the name OK, though the future will reveal whether or not the name fits the content of the album.

Not an album title I would expect from Dream Theater, but hey, it's not a bad title in any way.

Not the greatest name I've ever heard, but who's going to care if the album is great.

I don't like it one bit. Sounds like some acne ridden teen's myspace name.

I really dont like the name, it seems to be that the next album of DT is going to be quite metallic, and a little of progressive, what a pitty, I hope I will mistake

It is certainly not as interesting or original a title as Octavarium or Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence. It sounds more like a Megadeth album title. But DT could call their album "Sparrow's Farts in Brine" and  I would not be put off, because I know that the music will KICK ASS!

I like the title, I think it sounds cool.  But since when did the title mean that this is going to be DT's most metal and heaviest album yet?  You can't draw any conclusions from the title because you haven't heard the music.  Train of Thought sounds like a much more intellectual title, and then you hear how heavy the music is (not to bash Train of Thought).  All I'm saying is please don't make any premature assertions about an album you haven't heard yet.

You can usually gain some information about a bands genre from titles. I'm not saying it's full proof but with an album title like "He Has Left Us Alone But Shafts Of Light Sometimes Grace the Corner of Our Rooms" you may think the album is post rock. Or a band nammed The Plastic People of the Universe, you can probably guess to be Avant.

It sounds like they are trying to appeal to metal-heads and intellectuals simultaneously. I don't care for it, but obviously it's of no consequence if the material is good.
